The coffee industry is broken, and many farmers living in poverty. Pact is fixing it by going straight to the farmer, scrapping unnecessary supply chain steps and improving the lives of farming families. In 2021, it paid, on average, 60% more than the Fairtrade base price.
All of the coffee is speciality grade (the best of the best), and it’s roasted in Surrey just days before it’s delivered. Pact has more than 100 coffees sourced from across eight different countries on its menu every year.
Interestingly, the Pact head office sits on the former site of the Peek Freans biscuit-making company, where the Bourbon Cream biscuit was invented. So, no prizes for guessing the inspiration of this full, creamy and indulgent dark roast. It’s full of the familiar flavours of one of Britain’s favourite drinkable treats.
