We are very proud to be a Sustainably Run Certified restaurant! This means that our diners are empowered to be a force for good by planting life-changing fruit trees. These fruit trees are planted in poor communities currently in Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya and produce fruit to be eaten, mulch for animal feed and sold to create an income for each family. Thus, communities can help grow and raise themselves out of poverty, and become self-sufficient.
Each GiftTree planted offsets 1 tonne of Carbon in its lifetime – and therefore helping to repair the ecosystem, and also create and sustain biodiversity. Your tree is geo-tagged and photographed and you can choose which community location you’d like it planted.
By simply adding a GiftTree to your bill, together we hope to plant hundreds of trees each month and effectively offset the Carbon Footprint of the meals we serve.
